| Special Thanks * Richard Walter, UCLA Screenwriting Chairman, my mentor, script doctor, and story consultant. * Patty Sovic and Tim Flannery, Saardu's biggest fans and undauntable visionaries. * Many generous and dedicated artists at Coppola's virtual studio for screenwriters, for their valuable time spent reading my scripts and sharing their insights. Especially grateful to Robert Manley , Fred Maffei, Lable Braun, and Oliver Simonsen. Saardu is a children's sci fi fantasy adventure franchise created by Carma Dillon, Writer. Saardu: The Adventure Begins is an original screenplay recommended by KIDS FIRST! Jury and is available for option. "I aspired to introduce kids to fascinating cosmology -- String Theory and dimensionality -- and to prepare them for ethical questions that will be theirs to answer. The challenge of weaving complicated sciences into the backdrop of a fantastic hero's journey has been an adventure in itself. My passion was to create something that delights children of all ages while it subtly informs and stirs our holy curiosity. The nod from the Kids First Jury assures me that my goal as an educator has been accomplished, and having Richard Walter as a coach has been a bonfire in that painful wilderness known only to writers." |
